He was the Son of William Edward James Bailey and Amelia Jane Bailey nee Hopkins and husband of Daisy Bailey whom he Married in Elham District 1911. He was in the 107th Field Coy, Royal Engineers, service number: 38218. He died in Salonica and is buried in grave III.C.4, Sofia War Cemetery, Bulgaria. He was originally buried in the Ruschuk British Cemetery, Bulgaria and was later concentrated to Sofia.
