Gunner Rawlins, aged 20, died while defending the island of Crete against the German land and airborne invasion on 29 May 1941. He was the son of Edwin Bland Rawlins and Catherine Ann Rawlins, of Broadford, Vic. He is commemorated on the Athens Memorial Face 10.
