In memoriam
Wife of Peter Pertschi. Mother of Matthias Pertschi (1926-1989) who married Christine Meder (1927-2016). Matthias and Christine escaped from a concentration camp in Yugoslavia surrounded by cornfields. It is unknown if this was Gakowa, the same place Elisabeth passed away. They went to Austria where they had 4 of their 5 children, then to Canada. It is believed Peter, husband of Elisabeth had brothers. Some descendants remain in Germany, although many are scattered throughout North America.
