In memoriam

Samo da sjećanje ne izgubi moć govora So the memory doesn't lose the power of speech

Elvir Boloban is the youngest of three Bolobans from the village of Treboj near Konjic, who gave his life to defend his only Bosnia and Herzegovina. He was the fourth of seven children of father Alaga and mother Fadila, who returned from the former JNA at the end of 1991, and in May 1992 he voluntarily joined the "Green Berets" and defended his homeland. At the age of less than twenty-one, Elvir was a seasoned fighter with enviable knowledge of war skills, a fighter who always brought new knowledge with him from numerous actions of his unit "KLIS" to use in future battles and in the ranks of the RBiH Army when it was formed. He is remembered by his older sister Rabija, as well as his older brothers Fadil and Salko, and his younger brothers Šaćir, Vahid and Senaid, as a cheerful and lively young man who was a favorite of the whole family.
