Luftwaffe, 3(K)/LG1, Oberfeldwebel. On 22.03.42, Junkers Ju88A-4 (L1+JL). Crashed in the Mediterranean sea while searching for convoy MW 10. On 17.05.42 Body washed ashore near Pyrgos in the West Peloponnese, Greece. Posthumously awarded the Knights Cross on 16.04.1942.
