WX5711 Posting on Death: Unit: 19th Training Battalion (Infantry) attached HMT Slamat Death Place: At sea: Nearest landform, At sea (off Leonidio, Greece). Believed killed when HMT Salamat was sunk during enemy action. He is commemorated on the Roll of Honour in BUNBURY WA, also his name is located at panel 35; Supplementary panel 8 in the Commemorative Area at the Australian War Memorial. Son of John Samuel and Letticia Stafford, of Bunbury, Western Australia.
