"Revolutionary. He graduated in electrical engineering in Prague. As a member of the CPY, he organized a workers' resistance in a mine in Mostar. After the founding of the Independent State of Croatia, he was interned in a camp in Dubrovnik, where the Liberation Front was founded at the end of 1942 under his leadership. In June 1943, he was transferred to the Kampor camp on Rab, where he was a member of the KPJ camp committee. After the capitulation of Italy in September 1943, he became a politician and commissioner of the Jewish Rab Battalion, then the 7th Banija Division and the 8th Strike Division. He died in battle."
