Ottoman military leader and Governor (Sandžak-beg) of Bosnia (1574-1580) in the Ottoman era. He is the founder of the city of Banja Luka. He was Sandžakbeg of Klis from 1566 to 1574. He led military attacks on Croatia during the period when he was sandjakbeg of Klis. Because of his military success in Croatia, the Ottoman Sultan gave him the title of Sandžakbeg (governor) of Bosnia. He was the governor of Bosnia from 1574 until his death in 1580. At that time, he significantly expanded the territorial boundaries of Bosnia. He was buried in a tomb in the cemetery of the Ferhadija mosque in Banja Luka.
