Florin Zalomir

Olympic Athlete. He was a Romanian sabre fencer that took part in the 2012 Summer Olympics in London at the ExCeL Exhibition Centre where he won the silver medal in the sabre team event. He also competed in the World Championships at Antalya Expo Center in Antalya, Turkey in 2009 where he won the gold medal, and in the European Championships in 2006 that were held in İzmir, Turkey where he also won the gold medal. During his career he managed to win several other silver and bronze medals. After the 2003 European Fencing Championships he joined the French Foreign Legion and served for two years, and then returned to the sport in 2005 and retired from it in 2012 after competing in the Olympics.
