In memoriam

"This is a symbolic grave of the men, women, and boys that fell as victims of communism, 1941–1945, suppressed for many years. The graves of many are unknown. Erected in eternal memory by their relatives and members of the parish. Rob, 1993."

From the village of Krvava peč. Franc Kovačič served in the Slovenian Home Guard during the Second World War. After the war he was forcibly returned to Yugoslavia from the POW camp in Viktring, Austria and murdered by the communists. He was married. (Source: (Matija Škerbec. 1954. Krivda rdeče fronte. Vol 1.
