On the evening of July 12th, 1942 a group of Partisans, including some from the local area, came to the Lončar house at Beli Potok near Borovnica. They held the parents and their three children (France, 12 years old; Mara, 18; and Polda, 15) in the kitchen while they looted the home. They separated Polda from the rest and killed them in the kitchen. It is uncertain whether they were shot or beaten to death. The Partisans locked Polda in the pantry; after they left, she fled to a neighbor’s house. A joint funeral for the Lončar and Vičič families was held in Borovnica and they were buried in the village cemetery. Sources: - http://www.sistory.si/zrtve/zrtev/?id=47096 - Javornik, Mirko. 1944.
