Don Francesco Paolo, Principe Borghese, 7th Duca di Sulmona, was the son of Don Marcantonio, Principe Borghese, 5th Principe di Sulmona, and his wife, Donna Anna Maria Salviati, Duchessa di Giuliano. He was married in Paris on April 11, 1809 to Adèle de La Rochefoucauld, daughter of Alexandre François de La Rochefoucauld, Duc d'Estissac, and his wife, Adelaide Marie Françoise Pyvart de Chastullé.
