ROYAL BERKSHIRE REGIMENT SERJEANT LOVETT F.A.

13076 Serjeant Francis Arthur Lovett , was Killed in Action, on the 9th.May 1917, Aged 29, while serving in the 7th.Battalion, The Royal Berkshire Regiment. The 7th.Battalion War Diary entry for the 9-5-1915, reported that following a Brittish attack at Vladaja, '1 Officer had been killed, 1 was missing (presumed killed) and 7 had been wounded, 1 slightly. 14 other ranks were killed, 9 men were missing and 131 had been wounded'. Son of Arthur and Sarah Lovett, of 7, Belle Vue Terrace, Devizes, Wilts.
