Franciskos Manellis (Edirne, 1911-11 April 1978) was a comedian. He played mostly the role of kind-hearted eagle owl, often alongside Miliadis Takis and Thanassis Vengos. Born in Edirne Eastern Thrace in 1909 and Italian family scion installed in this city. Actor of the music scene since 1931. His first appearance in the cinema was in 1943 in the film "The storm passed." In theater first appeared in the play "The Merry Widow" and then collaborated with many musicians and troupes toured throughout Hellenism abroad. Known to us all for the abundant humor starred in many comedies cooperating mainly with Melissinos Vangelis director. In total he played in 55 films, of which 4 were screenwriter on 2 producer and one production manager.
