23427 Lance Corporal Frank Spratley, Died of Wounds received in action on the 27th.April 1917, Aged 19, while serving with the 7th.Battalion, The Royal Berkshire Regiment. Son of Ernest and Kate Spratley, of the Swan Inn, Cholsey, Wallingford, Berks. Frank was originally buried in Janes Military Cemetery, a few miles to the north of Sarigol, exhumed and reburied in the Sarigol Cemetery sometime during 1921-22. Frank is also remembered on the family headstone in All Saints Churchyard, North Moreton, Oxfordshire. Cenotaph here
