In memoriam

Luftwaffe, Staffel Richter I/L. L. G. 1, Unteroffizier. Died 1200 m north-east of Chania. Originally buried in a "Sammelgrab" near Chania. The VDK say "Friedrich Nagel died in the fighting for Crete. His remains could not be recovered. According to the information we have, he remained at sea. His name and dates were memorialized at the war cemetery in Maleme, Crete".
