Gaspar Alapić was the Ban of Croatian from 1574 until 1578. During Ottoman siege of Sziget, he was a deputy to count Nikola Subic Zrinski. After the defeat he managed to survive, but he was captured and later freed by count Juraj Zrinski. In 1573 he was appointed civil governor. As commander of the noble army, he defeated the peasant troops at Kerestinec and Mokrice, and in the decisive battle of Stubicke Toplice , which had crushed the uprising of Matija Gubec.
