Georg married Katherine SCHNEIDER on the 28th of March 1885 at Sarata, Akkerman, Bessarabia, South Russia. The couple was blessed with 9 children; Karl Friedrich, Karolina, Christina, John, Edward, Jacob, Frederick Karl, Emma Emelia and Lydia. Georg Freidrich SCHAUFELE died on the 16th of December 1903 at Unter Albota, Kahul, Bessarabia, South Russia. His widow and their 6 surviving children immigrated to Alberta, Canada in April 1911.
