Service casualty card for 1909744 Lance Sergeant George Albert Askey, shows he was serving with 1 Bomb Disposal Section, Royal Engineers at the time of his passing. All it says is Killed in Action, Battle Casualty Information from other sources show that Sappers J Bell, A Barnes, JJ Hill, T Smith, Corporal CD Hoare, Drivers BF Misselbrook and R Robertson also died. I have no further information at this time as to what happened.
