VX33054 Posting on Death: 3 Light Anti Aircraft Regiment RAA. He was killed in action at Sea in the Middle East. ( reported drowned as a result of enemy action.) Description of Vic. Paybook photograph of VX33054 Gunner George Edward Perrott, 3rd Light Anti Aircraft Regiment, Royal Australian Artillery. Gunner Perrott, aged 25, died while defending the island of Crete against the German land and airborne invasion on 29 May 1941. He was the son of Henry H. O. Perrott and Mary F. Perrott, of Tumbarumba, NSW. He is commemorated on the Athens Memorial Face 10. (Photograph supplied by the Army's Soldier Career Management Agency. Medals: 1939/45 Star, Africa Star, War Medal, Australia Service Medal. He is commemorated on the Roll of Honour in TUMBARUMBA NSW, also his name is located at panel 21 in the Commemorative Area at the Australian War Memorial.
