George Hepburn Stewart

In memoriam

George Stewart was the son of William Downie Stewart and Rachael Stewart, of Dunedin, New Zealand; husband of Elizabeth Woodhead Herbert (nee Kelso) Stewart, of Westwood, Crookston, New Zealand. Lt/Colonel in CMR, file number 9/999. Appointed temporary in command of Canterbury Mounted Rifles with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel from 7 September 1915. Died of Sickness (dysentery).
