George Neville

In memoriam

Pte. George Neville, Army Service Corps, died of concussion on 17th November 1915. His photograph was published on 21st January 1916. [1] "Private George Neville, A.S.C., aged 25, son of Mr. and Mrs. James Neville, #18, Morden-street, Lewisham, who died in Gallipoli after suffering from shell shock, during which he sustained injuries through falling into the hold of a ship. He worked as a baker in the Army. He was an "old boy" of the Morden terrace L.C.C. School, Lewisham." [2] Buried in East Mudros Military Cemetery, Lemnos, he was the 25-year-old son of Martha Ann and James Neville of #16 Morden Steet, Greenwich, London.
