Military Service Service Number: 271 Age: 19 Force: Army Unit: Royal Newfoundland Regiment Division: 1st Bn. George was educated Brigus Methodist Academy, and Methodist College in St.John's. He volunteered and joined the 1st Newfoundland Regiment after the outbreak of war. He died of dysentery at the Stationary Hospital in Mudros. Son of John and Lydia Clarke, of Brigus, Newfoundland.
