George William Rawlings

Born in Poplar, London, England in October 1897; 574018 Rifleman George William Rawlings of the 2nd/17th Bn. London Regiment died on the 8th of April 1917 and is buried at the Karasouli Military Cemetery in Greece. He is the son of William George & Jessie Ann Rawlings of 22 Ellesmere Street, Upper North Street, Poplar, London. He is also commentated back home on a plaque within St.Saviours Church, Northumbria Street, Poplar, London as on of twelve former Altar servers at the church who lost their lives fighting for both King & Country during the Great War of 1914-1919.
