Born and raised in Limba. He was murdered by a neighbor boy. The boy was very angry over losing a game and picked up a very large stick striking Gheorghe in the back. The strike instantly paralyzed Gheorghe. He lived for another 14 days before passing away at the age of 14. He is buried in the Limba Greek Orthodox cemetery but has since been covered with another as is the custom in many parts of Europe.
