Born is Sambata da sus, Brasov, Transylvania, Romania (formerly Austria-Hungary). He immigrated to the United States in July 1913 at the age of 27.He resided a short time in the USA but returned to his home town. He was the brother of John Neagu (1889-1977) of Garret,Indiana. Husband of Maria Neagu. First Cousin of Maria Neagu Christea of Canton, Ohio. George was a police officer in his village. He is buried in the Western(Romanian Orthodox) Church Cemetery in Sambata de sus. Specific coordinates are noted, This location is verified by a visit by the manager of this memorial
