2 Prince of Sulmona. He married in 1658 Princess Eleonora Boncompagni. Giovanni Battista also was the sole heir of the extensive Borghese properties in the Papal States and in the Kingdom of Naples. This inheritance made him the richest of the Roman aristocracy, and one of the richest men in Europe. He had issue ; Marcantonio (1660) his heir Anna Camilla (1662), Wife of Francesco Maria Pico, 2 principe della Mirandola and Antonio del Giudice, 3 principe di Cellamare Paolo (1663), Scipione (1666)
