Casualty of the Great War,Gladys was a nurse and held the rank of Volunteer in the Voluntary Aid Detachment. She was 31 and died on Tuesday, 21st August 1917. She was the daughter of Alfred and Adelaide Letitia Jones of The Spinney, Great Shelford, Cambridgeshire. She is commemorated on the Village Memorial and on the Great War Memorial in the church at Great Shelford.
