Graham John Early Graham-Montgomery

In memoriam

Captain Graham John Early Graham-Montgomery was the son of Rev. Charles Percy Graham-Montgomery (vicar of St John's, Taunton; later 6th Baronet of Stanhope) (1855-1930) and Minnie Gertrude Compton Walker (1859-1922), of Bath House, Taunton, Somerset. Brother of Percy Cecil Chandos Norton Graham Montgomery (1898-1915). He was educated at a Prep School in Taunton, and at Sherborne School (Abbey House) May 1908-April 1911. He went on to Jesus College, Cambridge in 1912, where in December 1914 he was said to have 'a budding moustache'. He intended going into Holy Orders. Served as a Captain in the Hampshire Regiment, 12th (S.) Bn., and was killed in action on 24 April 1917 at Salonika (probably at the Battle of Doiran).
