Since childhood they called me Grigore son of Sechere As long as I lived I went through much suffering Never ran away from work When I was a boy Got kicked out of school For I was a landowner's son Did not do well with the communists Was also persecuted By communists in the village And set up for trials They jailed me in the end And was never guilty

Grigore Unknown is buried in Cimitirul Vesel, Săpânța, Săpânța, Comuna Sãpânţa, Maramureș, Romania
