In memoriam

Died in the Hebrew year of 5584.

Translation: Blessed be the Judge of truth. Let's cry and cry in the effortless weeping voice. That suddenly came his tragedy and he drowned within the harbor. Plucked and cut off his head and brains on the rocks, and the rest of his body was not returned. This is the burial stone of the wise and elevated as a hill, Haim HaCohen, his soul in Eden, that was taken to the house of his world on the 26th of the month of Shivat, the year 5584 (1824) to the creation of the world. May his soul be bound in the bond of life.
