Hfz. mesnevihân Halid ef. Hadžimulić - Bosniak theologian, one of the most significant in the 20th century. Halid ef. Hadžimulić completed hifz in two years (1923-1924), but he passed the exam and officially became a hafiz in 1963. The Hafiz prayer was recited on April 25, 1963 in the Emperor's Mosque in Sarajevo. With the arrival of the communists in 1945 in Yugoslavia, Hadžimulić retreated into solitude, and thus lived isolated for 40 years. He graduated from the Sharia School of Judges in Sarajevo in 1937. Halid ef. knew seven foreign languages: Arabic, Persian, Turkish, French, German, English and Latin. He was a long-time official and chief imam. He performed the duties of imam in the following mosques: Kasum-ćatib and Sarač Ismail from 1945 to 1967, Ferhadija in 1966, and then for the next 27 years he was the chief imam and hatib of the Emperor's Mosque in Sarajevo. He also worked as an official in the "Vakuf Directorate" in Sarajevo from and as a librarian in the Gazi Husrev Bey Library in Sarajevo. In the last 100 years, he was one of the five mesnevihân in Sarajevo. Halid ef. Hadžimulić portrayed Mesnevija from 1988 to 2011. Although reis-ul-ulema at the time Sulejman ef. Kemura was offering high official positions in the Islamic community in Bosnia and Herzegovina to Halid ef. Hadžimulić, he remained consistent with his teachers to live modestly and with dignity; socializing with books, delivering sermons from the Emperor's Mosque for more than 30 years. He lived in solitude without radio, television and newspapers. He left behind numerous translations and edited manuscripts. In 2004, he was declared Personality of the Year by the viewers of Senad Hadžifejzović's show Centralni dnevnik. He died in Sarajevo on January 8, 2011. He was buried next to Bakr Baba's mosque in Sarajevo.
