In memoriam

Corporal 5698 13th Battalion Manchester Regiment. Killed in action, aged 25 years Second son of James Thomas and Emily Russell Lived with father at 6, Arnold Street, Rochdale. Brother of James Edward and Frank Enlisted at Manchester, in September 1914. Previously employed at William Brierley Ltd., brass foundry as a clerk. Also served in Salonika. His brother Frank Russell also died in action in France.
