Henrich Franz Ferdinand von Werth

Henrich Franz Ferdinand, Baron von Werth was born in Ljubljana on 27 October 1727 [Ambrožič: 19 October]. He became a subdeacon and deacon in 1750 in Ljubljana, and was ordained in Gorizia. He served his first parish in Cömmering [?]. He was the parish priest of Moravče from 29 March 1761 until his death on 23 September 1781. He was also a prebendary at the Church of the Virgin Mary in Drtija. He became a member of the Mengeš Fraternity of Saint Michael in 1766. He had a Jansenist orientation and spoke against veneration of the Virgin Mary and the saints. Source: Ambrožič, Matjaž. 2009.
