Henry Ferguson Drader

In memoriam

Son of Ernest Drader (1832-1912) and Arilla Park (1840-1923), both of whom are buried in Hillside Cemetery, Petrolia, Ontario. Like his father, Henry was involved in oil production and was a drilling engineer. He lived most of his adult life in Europe. In the early years of his first marriage, he owned a residence in Finchley in the north London, England Borough of Barnet. He travelled extensively in his vocation and did work in Poland and Romania. He divorced his first wife and remarried a young Romanian woman. He married first Cora Bell McLauchlin (1862- 1946) on June 28,1883 in Ontario. They had six children: (1) Edgar Alexander Ernest (Jan.15,1885- Sept.10,1886) born and died in Petrolia, ON. (2) Milfred Ellsworth (Apr.14,1887- Feb.15,1889) born and died in Petrolia. (3) Louis Ralph McLachlin (Aug.13,1891- May 19, 1962) born in Zmyslowka, Poland and died in Phoenix, AZ. He married Vinnie (Brown) Lowe, a divorced woman with three children. (4) Alice May (Dec.25,1893-Aug.10,1974)
