In memoriam

Born in Ribnica, Lower Carniola. After graduating from high school in Ljubljana, he enrolled in the seminary and was ordained in 1917. He served as a curate and parish priest in Trieste, Italy until 1932, when he fled Fascism and relocated to Slovenia. He was serving as the hospital priest at the Golnik Sanatorium at the outbreak of the Second World War. He moved to Ljubljana in the wake of the German invasion, where he was shot by two Communist secret service (VOS) agents in February 1942 and died on 21 March 1942.
