Date of Death: 01/12/1943 Fate: Missing Presumed Killed in Action Information: SON OF HAROLD EDWARD AND VIOLET ANASTASIA KESTERTON, OF DARTFORD, KENT. Rank: Corporal Service Number: 2880174 Service: British Army Regiment: Royal Corps Of Signals Special Operations Executive. Place of Death: Middle East Part of a mission destined for Albania, he was reported missing on 1 December 1943 and later presumed to have been killed in action when Handley Page Halifax, serial EB140, of No. 624 Squadron, Royal Air Force in which he was travelling crashed into a mountainside in the Agrafa region. The remains of all those on board were buried at the crash site in a single grave and reinterred on 6 August 1945 at Phaleron War Cemetery
