Ibrahim ef. Fejić - Bosniak theologian, the seventh in line of reis-ul-ulema in the period of SFR Yugoslavia. Hadji Ibrahim ef. Fejić, born in Mostar in 1879. In his young years, he engaged in journalistic work, he collaborated in many religious-educational and class magazines and newspapers, such as "Misbah" and "Mualim", in which he wrote about religious and religious-educational issues of that time. He also wrote the biography of his muderis, the famous Mostar alim Hadži Salih ef. Alajbegović. Hadji Ibrahim ef. Fejić also published several notable articles in the "Glassnik" of the Supreme Islamic Eldership in the field of Islamic studies. In 1920, Ibrahim ef was offered. the position of a member of the Ulema Majlis in Sarajevo, and before World War II, he was elected by his Mostar residents as mayor of the city of Mostar. During World War II, Ibrahim ef. Fejić opted for the national liberation movement and actively participated and courageously raised his voice against atrocities and persecution of innocent people, regardless of which nation or religion he belonged to. When, after the war and the liberation of the country, the conditions were somewhat consolidated, in August 1947, the drafting and adoption of the new Constitution of the Republic of Croatia began. On the basis of that Constitution, the first reisu-l-ulema in the new Yugoslavia, Ibrahim ef. Fejić, September 12, 1947. Ceremonial promotion and handing over of mensura, reisu-l-ulemi Haji Ibrahim ef. Fejić, for the first time in the history of Rijaset, was performed in Gazi Husrev-begova, a place in the Emperor's Mosque in Sarajevo. In this high and responsible position during his ten years of work, he worked to improve the situation in the Islamic religious community. In the month of November 1957, at his personal request, and due to his advanced age, he retired after ten years at the head of the Islamic Community. Hadji Ibrahim ef. Fejić died on December 15, 1962 in his apartment in Sarajevo. He was buried at the Grlića brdo cemetery in Sarajevo.
