Military Service Service Number: 1312 Age: 19 Force: Army Unit: Royal Newfoundland Regiment Division: 1st Bn. He joined the Newfoundland Expeditionary Force on Mar 27, 1915 and left for England on Apr 27, 1915. He served at the Dardenelles, and died in the Third Canadian Stationary Hospital at Mudros, Gallipoli of tetanus and frostbite Son of George and Margaret Furey, of Harbour Main, Conception Bay, Newfoundland. He is also remembered on a marker erected by his parents at Avondale Assumption R C Church Cemetery in Avondale, Newfoundland.
