Ileana Barda was a Romanian artist, poet and theater actress. She was born in Brăila in 1931 and died in Suceava in 2004. At the time of her death she was survived by her son. In Suceava--a city in northeastern Romania where Ileana lived for many years--there is a street that is named after her: Strada Ileana Barda. Suceava also contains the cemetery where Ileana was laid to rest: Cimitirul Pacea.
