Professional Football Player. Remembered as „Minunea Blondă” ("The Blonde Wonder"), he made his debut in 1973 with CS Universitatea Craiova, playing always at the halfback position in numerous football games, and winning seven trophies. He was considered the best Romanian football player on the early 80's. During his 15 years career, he played for CS Universitatea Craiova, FC Olt, and Dinamo București. In 2008, he was decorated with the National Order „Meritul Sportiv” for his entire career. After ending his career as a football player, he became a trainer for numerous National and International Football Teams, having mostly notable performances with North African and Arabic teams, and the last one he trained was Suwaiq Club. He passed away from a stroke.
