It needs to be noted that the Rev. Fr. Petropoulos was initially laid to rest in this cemetery, however, he, in all likelihood has been removed from this cemetery and placed elsewhere. As I found out several years ago from a Greek Orthodox priest with whom I was working, the Greeks have a curious burial ritual; after three or more years they dig up the bones of the deceased, wash them, and put them into a smaller vessel which will frequently end up in a family's chapel.
