Ioannis was the Brother of Velessarios Theodoros Boules who is buried in Woodlawn Cemetery in Baltimore, Maryland. Ioannis was known as "John" in America. He came, according to his 1915 ship manifest record, to the United States, also, in 1906 and stayied in the country until 1913. The 1915 trip was made from Chios with his brother, Velessarios (aka "Harry"). The first born Son of Velessarios (Ioannis' brother) and his Wife, Bertha, is named "John", which is unusual, as the first born Son of a Greek man of that time would have normally been named after his Father which, in this case would have been "Theodoros" (Theodore in American English). It would seem that Harry did this to honor his Brother, which was not an unusual thing to do, at the time of the younger John's birth, and especially if Ioannis' and Velessarios' Father had died before John was born. It appears that Ioannis was not married during his life and had no biological children of his own. Ioannis was the Son of Theodoros Boules and Kyriaki (unknown maiden name). It is highly unlikely that Ioannis' remains are still, in March of 2021, located in this cemetery and this is actually his final resting place, as his death record in Chios, Greece states that he was supposed to be disinterred after a period of three years.
