Second Sandžakbeg of the Bosnian Sandžak and the main founder of Sarajevo and Novi Pazar. His rule in Bosnia lasted from approximately 1454 to 1463. Because of his contribution to development, he is one of the more famous figures from the Ottoman period of Bosnia and Herzegovina's history. He was the son of the first bey of Bosnia, Ishak-bey, and the father of the sixth Bosnian sandjakbey, Gazi Mehmed-bey. After the Ottoman conquest of Bosnia in 1463, they established the Bosnian Sandžak, incorporating territories from the Bosnian king's domain, Pavlović, Kovačević regions, and parts of Herzegovina. Minnetoglu Mehmed-beg served as the first Sandžak-bey until 1464, succeeded by Isa-beg Ishaković until 1470. Isa-beg Ishaković expanded Ottoman control despite challenges from Hungarian forces and local conflicts. The Hungarian invasion of Bosnia led to the loss of northern territories to Hungary, forming Banovina of Jajce and Srebrenica. Meanwhile, Isa-beg Ishaković initiated the development of Sarajevo, constructing the Emperor's Mosque and a palace. His endowments also included a tekija and a musafirhana, shaping the urban fabric of the emerging city. Isa-beg Ishaković's influence extended beyond Sarajevo, as he is credited with founding Novi Pazar.
