Bosnian painter and artist. He was born in Tuzla on December 2, 1907, when Bosnia was ruled by Austria-Hungary. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb and then went to France for further studies. He was a member of NOB (Narodnooslobodilačka borba, the National Liberation Struggle) during World War II and played a significant role in the art scene, co-founding various artistic groups. He passed away in 1984 in Tuzla, leaving behind over 2,000 works of art. A street in Belgrade, Novi Beograd, was named in his honor.
