At first he was a member of the theater in Varaždin and the Komedija in Zagreb, and since 1966 he has been playing in the HNK in Zagreb, then he is a freelance artist (member of the Guest Theatre). He often acted on television, especially in impressively comedic roles, and also appeared in films ("Black Birds", "Random Life", "Manage Yourself, Friend"). He is the father of actor Igor Serdar.
