Private Woldon, aged 26, died while defending the island of Crete against the German land and airborne invasion on 20 May 1941. He was the son of John and Emily May Woldon, of Belmore, NSW. He is commemorated on the Roll of Honour in Campsie NSW, also his name is located at panel 30 in the Commemorative Area at the Australian War Memorial.
