Jakob Korimšek was known throughout Križevaska Vas and the surrounding area. He enjoyed helping with church tasks and also headed the local band. He was a member of the Home Guard forces and was murdered by the Partisans in Kočevje Rog after the war. Source: Zaveza no. 16, 22 June 2011
