14280 PRIVATE J. W. RAWLINGS CHESHIRE REGIMENT 8th AUGUST 1917

Previously served in the Manchester Regiment before WWI. Enlisted into the Cheshire Regiment on 3rd September, 1914 Son of WILLIAM RAWLINGS, a tailor and his wife ELIZABETH ANN (nee PIKE). He married MARY MANNING on 5th September, 1908 at Ashton-Under-Lyne. They had one child - JOHN WILLIAM b 1909.
