In memoriam

As a commanding officer of Gebirgsjäger-Regiment 98, he was the responsible for the massacre of Kommeno (Aug 1943). Killed on 1st October 1943 fighting against the partisans in the Epeiros mountain range near Klissoura, northeast of Thesprotikon, Greece.
